My family and I have been going to Veggie Heaven approximately once a month for 12 or 13 years, and in that time they have never once messed up an order and we have always, always, received excellent food and service! The restaurant is family owned and operated and I don't think we have ever been there when at least one of the three family members - mother, father and/or daughter has not been there to greet us, as they do everyone who comes into their restaurant. These are good, compassionate people who devote their life to their beliefs, their restaurant, and to helping others. This food is the absolute most delicious and healthy food you could ever wish to try, and the #26 spicy is the first thing my family craves when not feeling well or recovering from a cold. I consider myself a pretty good cook but I have never come close to being able to duplicate this fantastic food! ...I have made many drives the 30+ miles into Austin just to bring Veggie Heaven home for an ill family member! Great staff, me and my boyfriend used to be homeless and they would give us food, it's true. We used to go by the drag and swing by there. I still go there, it is SO yummy! :) Positive micah

The staff isn't rude in my opinion. If there's not a lot of people there, the atmosphere is pretty chill and inviting. You have to try the Protein 2000 sometime in your life. I've also tried the tofu ham and the lucky seven. Loved everything they have. You can get a t-shirt too. And I think I saw them giving food to the homeless too. I highly recommend this place. I love the food, and I beg to differ on the staff. You need to remember the culture they come from. In many places in Asia, it would be considered rude for a waitress to look a patron in the eye. They are meant to take your order, and get your food, and be as minimally envasive as possible. I'm a regular there, and the service has never bothered me. They warm up to you after some time, and if you are persistantly kind, but if you take offence and show it, they won't ever get to warm up to you. Positive Quinna Diana

The food is amazing. I love the thunder tofu. The staff isn't very inviting and don't really talk much at all. They are quick though! I'm always coming back for more. Positive Katherine

The staff is quick and friendly and the food is amazing and greatly affordable for asian food. It's one of the few restuarants a punk, a hipster, and a metalhead can go eat without feeling like a misfit. It's awesome! Positive Alia

The food is great; I specifically recommend the Protein 2000 as a meat-substitute. Although I keep coming back for the food, the atmosphere is not very inviting and the staff are horribly rude. To-go may be your best option here. Neutral Will

Great staff, awesome selection, moderately priced ($8-10). Steamed buns- delicious, Protein 2000- also delicious. Almost the entire menu is vegan. Great. Positive Jeremy Soules
