Just had a lovely lunch here today. The food and service were excellent. I was informed they only use olive oil when necessary to prepare dishes. Very high quality food. Positive Beth

Came here with my family, having read a lot of glowing reviews of this place, we all had high expectations. But I simply cannot express how vastly different our own experience was. Firstly, the waiter was quite slow to bring our menus and take our orders. No explanation was given of the day's specials, or any dishes at all. My own starter was quite good, a sweet potato soup, but everybody else was very disappointed with their own. Looked very plain and unappetising. Then came the mains. Again, mine was OK, but seemed very much re-heated. The other three mains my family each ordered basically looked like three different kinds of slop. Nobody enjoyed it, and none of us finished. How a place with such glowing reviews and no less than 2nd in this Top100 list can disappoint on every level is beyond me. And at £20+ per head I was certainly expecting a LOT more. Not even school dinner quality. Shameful. Negative Daniel Crothers

Reviews seem to be very infrequent, so I thought I'd add my support. I originally went to this restaurant with a vegetarian friend and now I go regularly for the excellent food, reasonable prices and good location. Although the tables are quite close together, I haven't found this a problem - maybe the clientele are simply more caring than those in some other restaurants who feel the need to talk very loudly even though they're only 3 feet away 9but enough of my pet hates!!). The Riverside Vegetaria is worth not just one visit but many many more. David Carr Positive David Carr

I think the food is fantastic . The venue itself can do with a face lift , its very tired and old and lacks ambiance . The lights are too bright and its to compact . We vegetarians are people to . But as for choice and price you cant go wrong . Neutral clive Galley

This is one of my favourite restaurants. The food is good and not only is there a huge choice, but organic, vegan, and gluten free options are clearly marked, making the whole experience remarkably stress-free no matter who's dining! Our last visit was a celebratory meal and we had a great time! Positive Anne

Visited The Riverside Vegetaria today. Very wholesome and satisfying food. Would recommend the cashewnut, spinach and potato curry. They even have VEGAN fudge cake for desert! Nice atmosphere, Vegan wines... could you ask for more? Positive john

Went to the Riverside on New Years Eve and was a fantastic experience. The restaurant is very nice, clean and has good decor. The music in the restaurant was very relaxing and the atmosphere was great. The food is brilliant and there is a wide variety to choose from for both vegans and those who require Gluten free food. They also have some Indian choices and one of the favourites being Masala Dosa – really nice. I would definitely recommend the restaurant to both veggies and non-veggies. Positive Aj

This resturant has a cosy welcoming atmosphere and the range on veggie dishes is very broad and can suit any taste. The staff were friendly and attentive and the service was very quick. The food was hearty and very fulling - we only went for lunch but were satisfied for the rest of day! The price was reasonable as the portions are very generous - we didn't sit by the window this time but in the summer it would be wicked over looking the river. This is must for anyone who likes their food (not only veggies - I'm not) and the garlic bread is a must!!!! Positive Jason holness

A small friendly resturant which serves some of the most tastiest veggie meals I have found in London. I have moved to the otherside of London but happy to travel the hour to get there. Prices are reasonable. I wish the chef would share his secrets! Going again tonight. Positive Sharon

I have been to this restaurant several times and have never had a bad meal there! Fantastic food, excellent service, situated by the river. Wide selection of dishes on the menu, and look out for the specials board for more exotic dishes. Have taken non-veggies on many occasions and they have always remarked on how wonderful it is. Prices what you would expect, generally between £6-£8 for a main dish. Good range of vegan and organic wines. A big thumbs up from me!! Positive Cheynne Gibbs

Although small, the restaurant has a pleasent atmosphere with a polite and friendly staff. The food was fantastic with a good selection of Vegan dishes (including a vegan chocolate fudge cake!) from a variety of countries. The food was very reasonably priced - well worth the drive. Amazing food, so much variety for vegans. Very friendly, when we first moved to this area of London, the waiter even recognised us even though it was many years since we had been! Lovely setting, possibly the best vegetarian restaurant in London (and beyond). Positive Lesley Dove

My friend, Brian, took me there. The food is among some of the best I've had. A great variety of vegetarian, vegan and organic dishes. The organic wine was very good. Friendly, attentive and efficient service. The desert dishes are the very best yet. I had a lot of fun! Positive Aimee Paterson

Friendly unassuming restaurent with good wholesome food that always makes you wonder why you don't eat there more often. Nice setting by the riverside and a good choice of organic English wines. Menu can be idiosyncratic (Gado Gado is definitely their own version!), but food is always well prepared and presented. Positive LJ & AR Montgomery

Superb food on the spicy side of life! We needed a 2 hour walk back to Richmond to work off the hefty portions. Get a window seat for a happy couple of hours watching the river life go by.... Predominantly vegan - organic and vegetarian wines available. Positive Chris Tucker

Nice atmosphere with classical guitarist playing in background. Nice setting, especially in Summer as it is next to the Thames. I THINK they had organic food on the menu and the choice looked extensive to me with vegan options highlighted. Positive Heather Nelson
