We ordered falafel wraps for lunch. We had no soon ordered than it arrived at our table! So obviously not freshly prepared. They were soggy and cold as though they had been in the fridge a while. When our plates were collected I said " I am sorry to say this but this was not very nice as it was soggy" the older waitress with a pony tail said in a curt manner " I am sorry it was not to your taste. We have not had any complaints before" so I said well you have now! Would not go there again. Staff could do with a smile. Really disappointed as we were looking forward to our lunch after seeing the reviews. |

Not knowing Exeter, I was delighed to find this cafe by accident as I walked around the city centre with a rumbling tummy yesterday. I wanted a big plate of wholesome goodness and this was exactly what I got. Delicious mixed saladdy stuff and a warm savoury tart, washed down with a bottle of lime ginger fizz. Whatsmore, I was sat outside in the sunshine right infront of the Cathedral! |

AVOID if you don't want your food microwave heated. I've been enjoying the lovely friendly atmosphere for a while, then last week noticed my food was reheated in the microwave - I was told its the only way they can do it. Shame. will try Herbies instead ... |

Arrived just before closing time on a Sunday but the staff were very friendly and happy to server us cakes or drinks, we were however too late to try any of the meals on offer. They had a few different vegan cakes and bars. We went for some chocolate and banana cake and also a choc chip cookie that was fresh out the oven. Both were very nice. Will be visiting again next time I pass through Exeter. The location is excellent and in a nice quieter area of town with pleasant views to the cathedral. Nice comfy seats and cushions inside make it feel very easy to relax. |

Love the Plant Cafe. Great location, can sit outside and look at Cathedral green or inside. Friendly staff. Great menu with plenty of choice. The food is always fresh and tasty. Can be hard to find veggie restaurants so I go here regularly and have always had an excellent meal. |

I really like plant deli the vegan options are always delicious and especially the rasberry and beetroot cake -dont miss this it is delicious -my big extended family really like it too and the location is perfect. service is refreshingly good and the atmosphere is young and friendly highly recommended although not cheap it is excellent value for money because they use local or organic with a big emphasis on fair trade and ethical practices |

Really like Plant, the staff are friendly and the food is lush, tastes home-made and rustic. There are plenty of vegan options. Lots of different drinks, my favourite at the moment is the soya chai latte. There is a busy atmosphere and Plant is in a lovely location next to Exeter cathedral which is possibly why it is a little pricey but very much recommended. |

Extremely helpful and lovely staff called Abbie! My husband left his glasses at cafe, and she is going to post them to us. Not only that but her attitude was brilliant! Thank you, and look forward to eating at your cafe next time we are in Exeter. Mandy. |

Thought we would have a change, really glad we did, excellent choice for vegans, two fantastic meals very substantial, fresh tasting and two soya latte's £17.90, we thought that was good value, standard was high, would go again, seemed good for anyone, staff were helpful friendly and polite, was a squash in the cafe but it was fine, hated the jazz music but that's just personal choice, brilliant place. |

We had a wonderful lunch at the Plant last week. The staff managed to cope with my fussy coeliac daughter, and my indecisive older daughter. Absolutely delicious food - I had a huge salad plate - superb. Sat loverlooking the cathedral - really nice staff - I wish they would publish a cook book. |

We really like plant deli because of the fresh organic food and fabulous location. Sometimes the staff aren't as friendly as we would like and the vegan options are very limited indeed which is a great pity because the food is high quality and the place is ethical and uses fairtrade ingredients and also sells them. I would go much more often but tend to go to herbies because there is a greater vegan choice and very friendly staff altho i dont think it is as organic there. |

I have to say, I've been in a number of times and I've always found the staff friendly and helpful - even when I'm dithering over what to have because it all looks so good. It is quite pricey (on my budget anyway) but frankly it's worth it - the food is wonderful and generously sized (no wonder Jay wanted half portions) and they've been very happy to wrap up what I can't eat and let me take home. They bring the food to you (sitting outside by the cathedral is perfect) and they have water jugs on every table, even though they sell drinks. Jay, I suspect it pays to be polite! I recommend the baked rissotto and the courgette and walnut cake - they're delicious. |

I am so shocked to see what Jay wrote about The Plant, I have been going there since it first opened as I love it so much. The staff could not be more friendly and helpful (they are all so lovely!!!), and I think that Jay must have been in another cafe.... This is not The Plant that I know!! Their food is just heavenly, exceptional quality, fresh, bursting with taste, local and lots of it is organic. You choose what you want, and you can eat in or takeaway. There is also more seating than ever with many tables outside. Please do not listen to the comment below and go to The Plant, I promise you, you will not regret it!!! |

Rude staff, cramped seating, over priced! I asked for a mix of two menu items and the owner refused, after questioning her and her pretension I was asked to leave. |

This small cafe is proving to be very popular since opening in August 2004. It serves fresh, contemporary vegetarian and organic food. Lots of little savoury tartlets (their speciality), pies, frittatas, cakes and a huge choice of imaginative salads all made fresh on the premises. Prices from £1.50-£7.00 depending on how hungry you are! Unfortunately it doesn't take bookings so you have to take a chance over lunchtimes when it gets really busy. They also do anything to take away which is a great alternative since the Cathedral Green in on the doorstep - it has fantastic views! If you are vegan or have allergies there's still plenty of choice. There's also a fantastic choice of locally produced and organic deli items on the shelves - very unusual chocolates, sauces, teas etc. The Cafe is only open during the day but you can hire the whole place out for special occasions in the evening and they have a fantastic 4 course dinner and you can take your own wine. I totally recommend it, there's nothing else like it! |
