I have been eating here for many years - since it was the Peace Cafe. When it became Manic Organic I thought that it would be goodbye to a much loved eating place. No at all. Despite the 'Manic' bit of the name the service remains relaxed, but attentive and the staff are friendly and always happy to help out with choices. The atmosphere during the day (I have not yet been there of an evening yet, but I will do soon as I have the opportunity) is great with the place having a busy but still unrushed feel, it is nice that no matter how busy they are there is no one hovering over your shoulder waiting to grab the dishes as soon as you have finished. Food quality is always excellent and very reasonably priced. It is one of the few places where you can get organic food at decent prices. No rip-off here. It can be a bit crowded at times; this being a reflection of how popular it is. A short walk from the High Street, it is a welcome and welcoming oasis for those who are shopping-weary and just want somewhere nice and friendly where they can grab a really decent cup of coffee and a bite to eat. Child friendly and with a nice (if petite) back garden area for those who want to dine alfresco, this is an eating place I would be happy to recommend to anyone. Positive David Peden

We had a lovely lunch there recently. The staff are friendly, and the food is of high quality. It may be very different in the evening, but at lunchtime this is not a place for couples to chill out and have a good talk. The place is very small(although there is a nice little patio area for eating at the back of the building)and there is a queue of people waiting for tables.I would have liked some side salads-the only ones on the menu were full meals. My house salad which came with the burger(which was excellent) was just a few big undressed lettuce leaves. They serve the gorgeous Shepherds ice cream there, and I was told that at night you can take your own wine.I can also recommend the house fries.Overall, well worth a visit, but I think we would go in the evening next time, when you can book a table. This is a great value cafe in King's Heath that serves great food at great prices. the Mexican bean burrito is a treat and the veggie burgers are to die for. the food is prep'ed with care and attention and the staff always appear to friendly and polite. the Shonky art on the wall for sale could be ditched but that really does not detract from the ambiance. Lunch for two approx £12 and you will be stuffed after. Im 1.95m and 120kgs and it does me. Positive matthew doyle
