Lozorro on 20 May 2012 wrote: Ate here last night with my none veggie boyfriend. The food was quite simply exquisite, and the service top notch. The place has an awesomely eclectic and relaxed vibe, but at the same time is run with uttermost efficiency and professionalism. The menu is reassuringly small yet incredibly interesting; so many different ethnic influences; Mexican, African, Indian, Morrocan... I opted for the special of the day, Spinach and Chickpea Curry, whereas my partner choice a Leek and Mushroom Strudel. We had a mixed sharing platter too (beetroot hummus, hallumi dippers, and aubergine rolls) Everything was fantastic, and the curry was incredible. It tasted so fresh and healthy, (not drenched in oil like so many vegetarian Indian dishes) the rice was flavoursome and the puri basket perfectly crunchy. So good I think I dreamt of it last night(!) Will most definitely be back soon. Positive Tiffany Jackson-Bieeu

The following appeared on Trip Advisor: Delightful!” Reviewed 12 January 2012 Now under new management and called Aubergine Cuisine. A group of 11 of us were booked here. Most of us are meat eaters, but the veggies amongst us chose this venue. We had a wonderful evening. We were made welcome, the food was delicious. We all tried different meals and swopped tastes! The atmosphere was so relaxed. We were the only ones left in there, but the staff didn't hurry us or anything. The service was polite and unobtrusive, but friendly and accomodating. The food was all cooked to order and I thought it was excellent. One of our party is a superb cook (veggie) and she was really impressed. I'm a meat eater, but I wouldn't hesitate to go again and take friends. It is a great venue for a group to get together and eat, chat and socialise. My thanks to the staff - truly delightful! Please will you consider allowing us to publish feedback we get in the restaurant which is almost universally positive. Positive Ian rubin

My partner and I went to this restaurant late one Thursday night. Most other restaurants had finished serving but Aubergine cuisine were happy to serve and very accommodating. We'd been meaning to check out this vegetarian restaurant as we'd heard good things about it from a friend and we fancied something special and not another chain/franchise. And we we're not disappointed! The food was delicious, homemade, fresh and clean and the service was impeccable. We were greeted with a smile and the staff were very friendly. The decor was retro and cosy, I loved it. However they have had a recent refurb and I look forward to seeing how it looks now. If you're a vegetarian and/or like to eat in independent restaurants with lovely homemade food - you must check this place out! Positive Jane

We we're VERY disappointed with this restaurant. The service was very slow, the restaurant itself shabby cheap rather than shabby.....you get me? The menu massively over-priced for what in essence is no better than provincial pub grub. To put it succinctly, if this is the experience you're looking for, better off nipping to Tesco and buying a romantic "Finest" meal for two - it's comparable sadly. Teachers note - just not good enough, must try MUCH harder. Negative Matt Wright
