When I think of Seaton, I think of the Terrace Arts Cafe. Here is total relaxation for vegans, who are fully understood and catered for here. No need to worry about double-checking that the chef has got the message you don't want your vegan food fried in butter. Once you mention the word vegan, you can just assume: it's a delight. And the vegan meals that come out of the kitchen lack nothing in taste, texture, nutritional value and sheer unadulterated pleasure. Oh, the 'specials' board! Creativity like this arises from pure talent. On different days during my recent stay I partook of a delicious lentil soup, a generous helping of pasta that I've forgotten the name of, some wonderful canapes with a glass of vegan champagne, not to mention the glorious puddings including unparalleled vegan cheesecakes and other creations served with vegan ice cream. If I had ten million pounds I'd bribe Anna, the Chef and the whole lovely, friendly team to move the entire operation to Stafford so I could just stroll outside my front door and while away my days in the relaxed and artistic surroundings this restaurant has to offer. Alternatively I could just move to Seaton. Come to think of it I might do that anyway, and chain myself to the railings if they ever threaten to close down. Positive Mike

Wonderful. Huge choice, clean, friendly and reasonable prices. My non veggie husband loved it. Worth travelling for, we will be going again soon and regularly. Best restaurant experience in a long time. Positive Toni

Went on Sunday and met friends there. Had a lovely time, excellent food, quite special, lovely service, friendly, polite and helpful. Ambience really special, oozes quality, wish there was a few more vegan indulgent decadent puds rather than crumble ,but that's just personal taste, otherwise fantastic choice, sort of place you come home from and start looking at your diary to see how soon you can go again. We visited this cafe/restaurant for an evening meal on Friday 24th July and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The quality, quantity, atmosphere and value for money was clearly evident. Indeed, it was heart warming to find a solely vegetarian/vegan eatery in this part of the world. We chose the butternut squash curry and the youngest had a vegetarian burger with sauted potatoes and salad. The pricing was very affordable and reasonable at five/six pounds per meal. The staff were unassuming and unpretentious, very friendly, polite and welcoming. Overall, we would recommend this place to anyone visiting the Dorset/Devon coast. Positive Colin Mackenzie

The best vegan cheesecake - and 3 flavours to choose from! Absolutely brilliant for vegans, virtually everything can be veganised, including vegan cheese and sour cream. To top it all off, dogs are welcome inside! If you live in the SW this place is not to be missed. Positive Toni

Fully licensed restaurant overlooking the beautiful jurrasic coast serving fabulous vegetarian & vegan meals & snacks including local, fairtrade & organic in a relaxed & friendly atmosphere. The menu offers a mouth watering selection that you'll think you've died and gone to veggie Heaven! Many options for gluten free & as it's all cooked fresh then you can specify how you like it. Very reasonably priced average £5(that would buy you a tortilla wrap & elderflower cordial). A warm welcome awaits you! Positive Anna Pola

You eat with a view of he Jurrasic Coast surrounded by a selection of contemporary art work, ceramics and jewellery. The service is warm and informal, the food as good as it gets. Eat well for less than a tenner. Fully stocked bar, and they make a mean selection of cocktails Positive Andrew Carter

Relaxed friendly atmosphere, contemporary & stylish overlooking the spectacular 'jurassic coast'. Fabulous food freshly cooked on the premises e.g. mushroom & leeks in white wine & cream sauce on puff pastry base only £1.50 Spicy curry with butternut squash, spinach, chickpeas & cashew nuts served with Devon chutney on side only £3.50. Dark chocolate and macadamia cookie for only 80pence. These are all vegan but a selection of vegetarian foods are also available. Has only been open a few weeks and is proving to be very popular!
